Hergest Croft

Hergest Croft Gardens

Set in the heart of the Welsh Marches, this 70 acre garden has stunning views towards the Black Mountains. Created over 120 years by four generations of the Banks family, Hergest Croft has a unique collection of over 5,000 rare plants, trees and shrubs as well as more than 90 'Champion' trees. There are gorgeous flower borders, an old fashioned Kitchen Garden, Azalea Garden, Maple Grove, and Park Wood. Spectacular spring and autumn colour make this a garden for all seasons.

Waterfall

Water-breaks-its-neck

Water-break-its-neck is a tall, beautiful waterfall on an unnamed stream west in the Radnor Forest of Radnorshire. It has long been known for its remote spectacle, though reached without great effort from New Radnor.

Small Breeds Farm Park & Owl Centre

The Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre is a wonderful collection of miniature rare and unusual animals and birds displayed to encourage the 'hands on' experience. A great day out for all ages.

Hergest Ridge

The ridge runs between Kington in Herefordshire to the little village of Gladestry in Powys, Wales. The Hergest Ridge section is one of several highlights for walkers undertaking the Offa's Dyke Path. The monkey puzzle trees, the whet stone and of course the herd of wild ponies make the Ridge a truly memorable place.
